What: The worlds fastest human powered vehicle. I worked with the team of four that created the world’s fastest human powered vehicle, basically a recumbent bike with an aerodynamic shell. After our improvements in 2016, we broke the team’s previous speed record at 89.59 mph.

My role: The bike had been created over the previous few years and had already broken the world record, so I was working with the team on small improvements in the summer of 2016 in order to break the record again. I CNCed and 3D printed parts for air circulation and aerodynamics in order to minimize drag and give the rider better air flow, and worked with the team to sand the shell and help out during testing at the Las Vegas Speedway.

When: Summer 2016
