What: A wheeled robot to play a game for the class ME218B: Smart Product Design Fundamentals. The robot needed to move "Miners" around a 4x4 grid of colors, making decisions autonomously and responding to actively changing commands from a communications hub. When: Winter 2020
My Role: I worked on a team of four and we split up hardware, circuits, and software. I specifically focused on managing the CAD using a master model, controlling an electromagnet, notification LED system (designing the circuits and writing the software services), the power distribution strategy, and writing high level control code to integrate the lower level services into a decision tree.
