What: Tigris is Plenty's first fully automated indoor vertical farm. It can grow leafy greens using remarkably little water, and because of the highly controlled environment, it creates the best tasting vegetables you've ever tasted (seriously!)
When: Summer 2019
My Role: As a Mechanical Design Engineering Intern in the Summer of 2019, I worked on the Thermal Systems team to optimize the unique HVAC system Plenty uses for its produce, cutting down on the total energy usage of the farm while ensuring the plants have their optimal growing conditions. I also worked on a variety of small mechanical design projects.
